Sadio Mane has issued an apology to Ederson after kicking Manchester City keeper in the face.

Liverpool winger Mane saw red after clashing with the Brazilian shot stopper while chasing a through ball during the sides’ clash at the Etihad on Saturday.

City went on to win the fixture 5-0 – with Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane bagging braces after Sergio Aguero had put Pep Guardiola’s side ahead.

Ederson was taken off on a stretcher in the 37th minute before having scans on his jaw and cheekbone following the sickening collision.
