Britain's Got Talent teen set for first dance performance after Simon Cowell funded £175k spinal operation

A teenage Britain’s Got Talent star is set for her first dance performance since Simon Cowell funded her £175,000 spinal operation.

Dancer Julia Carlile, 15, was helped by the multimillionaire X-Factor mogul after she reached the finals of the talent show despite suffering from crippling scoliosis.

Julia, who performs with her troupe MerseyGirls, captured the nation’s heart this year while competing with her ongoing health battle.

Last month, Julia, of West Kirby, Liverpool, returned from the US having undergone two rounds of major life-changing surgery paid for by Cowell.

The teenager says the treatment is vital towards her recovery and claimed her condition would have left her “stiff as a board” if she was tended to in the UK.

After the operations, around six weeks ago, Julia said she was still in a lot of pain even when lying on the sofa, the Liverpool Echo reports.

However two weeks ago that all began to change with more movement returning and the soreness in her body easing.

Now, in her excitement at being able to dance again, she has even been practising moves in her lounge – despite her mum telling her to rest and be careful.

Julia said: “I’ll be able to dance in another two months which is crazy because with the other surgery I just wouldn’t have been able to.

“In the future MerseyGirls can carry on dancing for ever and ever, which is what we always dreamt of, so the surgery is literally the best thing that has ever happened.”

Julia says the dance troupe have a lot of plans for the new year after her first performance back with the team but that’s all being kept under wraps at the moment.

The dancer was diagnosed with scoliosis at six years old, she says the condition “slowly got worse and worse” and doctors made a number of attempts to slow her spine from curving, including the use of back braces.

Julia and her mum on This Morning

She said: “It wasn’t too bad at first but then I started to get a really big rib hump and my whole body was on a wonk.

“That meant I couldn’t do certain dance moves which really started to affect my life.

“Dancing was really hard, I couldn’t do certain moves and I got really mad. I just wanted it to be gone and be like everyone else.

“I was in a lot more pain so surgery was the only answer. However, the condition made me different and it has got me where I am today.”

Julia Carlile captured the hearts of the nation

In the two years before Julia was due to have diffusion surgery, an operation that would have left her unable to dance, she said she competed in every dance competition she was able to, despite being in “a lot of pain”.

Julia said: “My surgery was going to be just after BGT. I thought that was the last dance I was ever going to do.

“Obviously that all changed. We found this surgery in America a few years ago that could carry out an operation on my back which would still allow me to dance.

Julia is hoping to dance again in a couple of months

“We looked into it but could never afford it. That was completely gone to me.

“Then Simon Cowell read up on it and offered to pay for the surgery which was crazy, it is unreal still now and we cannot thank him enough.”

Before the operation, the angle of Julia’s back curve was more than 100 degrees but it was corrected to around 50.

The surgeons told the family they were hopeful that with a growth spurt her spine will straighten however there is a possibility she may need a third operation to fully straighten out the vertebrae.

Julia added: “I had two major surgeries and they halved the curve in my spine. I am really happy with the results.

“I feel like I’m starting to get better and I’m just looking forward to performing with MerseyGirls now – I am itching to dance!

“It’s been really crazy since I’ve been back from America.

“We went to the Reality TV Awards and I was back with MerseyGirls and that felt really good. It was like starting a normal life again being back with the girls.”

Love Island's Olivia Attwood, Gabby Allen AND Camilla Thurlow compete for place on I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Love Island stars Olivia Attwood, Gabby Allen and Camilla Thurlow are all competing for a place on ITV’s jungle show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, according to reports.

The reality TV personalities are all said to be keen to take part in the Australia-based show.

“All three of the girls would love to appear on the show, and they would definitely add some glamour to the camp,” a source told the Sun .

“The question is: who will finish on top?”

The news come as couple Olivia and Chris Hughes today sparked fears of a break-up following a cryptic tweet sent at 2am.

Olivia Attwood is keen to join I’m A Celeb

She recently sparked rumours of a split from boyfriend Chris Hughes

And it has now been revealed that the pair had an explosive row at a nightclub.

They had been at the club for Chris and Kem Cetinay ‘s performance of their single, Little Bit Leave It.

Meanwhile, Gabby Allen has said that boyfriend Marcel Somerville is saving up to buy her an engagement ring.

And the Love Island star says she knows exactly what she’ll say when he eventually pops the question.

The subject of marriage is a hot topic between stars of the ITV2 dating show after Dom Lever and Jess Shears announced earlier this week that they’re tying the knot.

Gabby Allen also wants to be on I’m a Celeb

She faces tough competition

Jamie Jewitt and Camilla recently hit back at claims their romance is on the rocks.

The 27-year-old Love Island hunk has been left infuriated by reality rivals Dom Lever , 26, and Jess Shears, 23, who have tried to suggest there is trouble in paradise.

But former Calvin Klein model Jamie insists his romance with 27-year-old Cam is going strong – and reckon’s their relationship is one of the most “normal” of the surviving Love Island couples.

Taking aim at Jess and Dom, Jamie told the pair to pipe down.

Camilla Thurlow could be stuck in an Australian jungle soon

She and boyfriend Jamie recently rebutted rumours of a split

I’m A Celeb is filmed in Springbrook National Park, near Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia.

Presented by Ant and Dec, the series is set to return for it’s seventeenth series this winter.

While no official release date has yet been set, the show traditionally starts airing around November 14 and runs for three weeks – with one celeb kicked off the show every day following the first week.

Hit TV show I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! is coming back this winter

After becoming something of a villain on Love Island due to his bad treatment of Camilla, Jonny Mitchell could be back on screens to cause drama in the I’m A Celeb camp.

Reports emerged that he could be in the running for the 2017 series just days after Love Island ended in July.

“Bosses said he would be the perfect hunk for the show and have asked him to come for a meeting,” a source revealed in August – with Jonny tweeting about the speculation too.

Katie Price makes LEWD sex claims about exes Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Dwight Yorke as she goes knickerless on tour

Katie Price shocked fans during her live tour last night when she rated the sexual performance of her former lovers.

The former glamour model went knickerless for the Stevenage leg of her Audience With tour – and proceeded to rate how her exes Peter Andre, Alex Reid and Dwight Yorke performed in bed.

Flirting with a man in the crowd, Katie said: “I’ve got no knickers on. That guy in the middle is going to have a great view. He’s staring at my woohoo.”

And she asked the rowdy crowd to guess which husband was the WORST in the bedroom.

Katie Price opened up about the sexual prowess of her exes

Katie Price and Peter Andre were married between 2005 and 2009

“They say ‘Once you’ve had black you never go back. And I did!” she said, discussing her sex life with son Harvey’s dad Dwight Yorke.

Moving onto her ex-husband Peter Andre she added: “They said ‘Once you’ve had Greek you’ve hit your peak’. Well I didn’t!”

The crowd guessed that her cross-dressing ex Alex Reid was the worst between the sheets and she confirmed: “You got it right.”

She added: “I don’t want to f*** a woman I want to f*** a man. I didn’t know [he was a cross-dresser] before I married him.”

Mirror Online has contacted Pete, Alex and Dwight’s representatives for comment.

She claimed Dwight Yorke didn’t do it for her

She said Alex Reid was the worst in bed

Earlier this week, Katie accused her husband Kieran Hayler of having sex with their nanny Nikki Brown in the family’s bath.

Kieran was forced to listen as Katie made the revelation at her in Stoke , according to The Sun .

She was heckled by an audience member who shouted: “Get rid of your cheating husband!”

And she replied: “I’m sure he enjoyed having sex in the bath with the nanny.”

Meanwhile, the mum of five may have cried a lot of tears over the behaviour of her third husband, but she’s just dropped another huge hint that she’s thinking of forgiving him.

She shared a picture of herself snuggled up with a soft blanket emblazoned with pictures of her family – and picked one of Kieran kissing their youngest son Jett to show her fans.

Katie, 39, was in the car on the way back to her family home when she decided to show her Instagram followers the keepsake she uses to feel connected to her closest loved ones when she’s travelling.

“On way home with my cosy blanket with my family photos on,” she captioned the snap, adding a red love heart at the end.

Kieran could be seen in this picture of Katie’s treasured blanket

Kieran’s face could clearly be seen with his arms wrapped around their sleeping boy.

It’s not even the first time Katie has inadvertently revealed her plans for the future of her marriage.

Earlier this week she took cheating Kieran out for dinner to celebrate their friend’s birthday, although she was careful not to share any pictures of him on social media.

But Kieran didn’t get the memo and accidentally revealed that he was with his wife when he posted pictures of himself in the same venue as her.

It looks like Katie has welcomed the love rat back

And Mirror Online reported yesterday that it appears the warring couple are still sharing the same bed.

Katie, who was left heartbroken last month when she said Kieran confessed to having slept with their children’s nanny for a number of months, has publicly confirmed she’s moving on and has even signed up to a dating app.

But from the looks of Kieran’s Instagram Stories – he’s still sharing a bed with his wife.

In his latest post, Kieran looked like he was reclining against Katie’s familiar grey crushed velvet headboard.

Kieran Hayler shared a selfie from what looks like Katie Price’s bed

Katie has shared pictures from the same bed on her own Instagram account on several occasions.

So it looks like the couple might still be able to reconcile their differences.

Katie has previously shared selfies from the same bed

The crushed velvet headboard gives it away

Yesterday, Katie asked reformed sex addict Russell Brand for his advice on her situation on Loose Women.

The recovering drug addict, who has written a book about overcoming addictions, said Katie should throw Kieran out of her home and tell him to get professional help, or else resign herself to him cheating for a third time.

“You say to Kieran, you’ve got to 100% surrender, you’ve got to 100% accept help and you no longer have the right to be in control of this situation after the way you’ve treated me and the way you’ve behaved, so you want to get yourself away, turn your life around and start making some changes,” he said as the audience cheered.

“So he needs to go.”

Mirror Online has contacted Katie’s representative for comment.

Beefing up for The Baggies! Arsenal warm-up for West Brom clash with full-blooded training session

Arsenal players weren’t holding back in their last training session before facing West Brom.

The Gunners take on the Baggies in a Monday Night Football clash at the Emirates, knowing they need a win to sty within sight of the Manchester clubs at the top of the table.

And, with West Brom never shy of getting physical when required, the images from the session at London Colney suggest Arsene Wenger’s men are preparing to get stuck in themselves.

The likes of Mo Elneny, Aaron Ramsey and Granit Xhaka were not holding back, as they took part in some particularly intense pre-match work.

Mesut Ozil took part in the session, confirming that he is in contention to return to the team for the clash at the Emirates.

The Germany midfielder has been struggling with a knee injury but is now back in training, while Theo Walcott should be fit despite being forced off with a knock in the midweek Carabao Cup win over Doncaster.

Danny Welbeck (groin), Francis Coquelin (hamstring) and Santi Cazorla (ankle) are missing, as is Calum Chambers who has suffered a recurrence of a recent hip problem.

Arsene Wenger said: “Calum Chambers came off [against Doncaster] and will now be out until after the international break. He has a little recurrence of his hip problem.

“Theo we will check today, we don’t think it is much. He [Ozil] is in training and will come back with the team training today or tomorrow.

“Danny Welbeck has a groin injury. He will be back, his target is Watford. That means after the international break. He won’t be available for England and not for us before the break.”

Provisional squad: Cech, Ospina, Mertesacker, Holding, Koscielny, Monreal, Mustafi, Bellerin, Nelson, Kolasinac, Ramsey, Wilshere, Xhaka, Elneny, Ozil, Giroud, Walcott, Sanchez, Iwobi, Lacazette.

Why Manchester United rejected the chance to sign striker Gabriel Batistuta from Fiorentina

Manchester United were priced out of a move for Gabriel Batistuta when the striker was running amok with Fiorentina.

The Argentinian was among the best in the world when Sir Alex Ferguson wanted to bring him to Old Trafford.

But the club’s former chairman Martin Edwards has revealed United could not afford to buy him.

He told NBC Sports : “Ferguson was keen to sign Batistuta.

“We looked at the situation, but at that time, the wages Batistuta wanted, and of course we’re talking net.

“I can’t remember the figures now, (but) they would have jeopardised our wage structure at the club at the time, and therefore turned it down.”

Batistuta also shone for Roma

Batistuta, now 48, scored 207 goals in 332 appearances for Fiorentina before he spent three years at Roma.

He also scored 54 goals in 77 appearances for his country.

Batistuta finished his career in Qatar before retiring in 2005.

Pep talk! Guardiola explains why he gave ball boy tactical instructions during Manchester City win against Crystal Palace

Pep Guardiola is a manager known for his meticulous attention to detail.

Whether it be tactics, training or team selection, the Manchester City boss leaves no stone unturned in his quest to get the very best out of his side.

Apparently, that includes making sure the ball boys are fully briefed on team tactics.

During City’s 5-0 win against Crystal Palace, Guardiola was spotted giving some very detailed instructions to a young ball boy at the Etihad.

The Spaniard clearly had a very specific point he wanted to get across to the young man – and he explained exactly what that was after the match.

“If you analyse 30 minutes in the first half, we were not ready to be there.

“Maybe over 90 minutes you cannot be there all the time. But it was slow.

“If there was a foul, no-one went to take the ball and start to play. There was five, ten seconds before someone goes to take the ball and start to play. When this happens everything is slow.

“So the ball boys were slow, everybody was slow. And we have to create in the game, to provoke the game. And we didn’t for most of the time in the first half.”

So, essentially, Guardiola wanted everyone – ball boys included – to speed up the play.

Given that the score went from 1-0 at half-time to 5-0 at full-time, he got what he wanted.

“n the second half, you could see immediately that the team was ready,” he continue.

“We started well but after that we forgot that the ball should be moved. And the first half the ball was at the players’ feet; it’s not good.

“There were too many touches. When that happens everything is slow and our rhythm is slow and concede counter attacks and anything can happen. But in the second half we had tempo, patience and attacked quick.”

Matt Lucas got over ex's suicide by having 'lots of sex' with men he met online

Comedian Matt Lucas turned to sex and food to get over his ex-husband Kevin McGee’s suicide, he has revealed.

The Little Britain star was left devastated when Kevin was found dead in his flat in Edinburgh in 2009, less than a year after the pair ended their civil partnership.

Now, the 43-year-old told the Sunday Times magazine what he did to cope with the tragic loss.

He said he sought help from a bereavement counsellor and made the decision not to turn to alcohol, cigarettes or drugs.

“Not turning to drink, which I hardly ever do — I probably have six units a year,” he said.

Instead, Matt moved to California and started organising sexual hook-ups on the internet.

“I ended up eating lots and having lots of sex,” he said. “That was how I responded.

“As much as anything I was trying to distract myself.”

Devastated Matt who married TV producer Kevin in a civil ceremony in 2006, previously reminisced fondly about their relationship saying it was “amazing”.

The pair split over Kevin’s drug use in 2008 and he died last October in his flat in Edinburgh.

Matt said in 2009: “For a long time it was amazing. I would lie in bed with him, and say, ‘Can you turn out my bedside light?’ And he would roll over me, squashing me, and turn it out, and roll back. And I would do the same to him.”

Carl Frampton signs deal with promoter Frank Warren with homecoming fight set to go ahead

Carl Frampton has revealed he has signed a deal with promoter Frank Warren.

The Tigers Bay boxer has put pen to paper on a deal which see him fight exclusively on BT Sport in UK.

Announcing the news in his Sunday Life column, Frampton revealed why he chose Warren over Eddie Hearn and how his homecoming fight in Belfast is just a few months away.

Frank Warren

He said: “I’m delighted to announce that I have signed a promotional agreement with Frank Warren with my fights to be shown solely on BT Sport in the UK.

“This is a deal I believe will give me the best chance to have massive fights that I crave and I have been guaranteed that I will be fighting at Windsor Park next summer.”

Opening up about how he revealed a number of offers from USA and the UK, the Jackal said it came down to Warren and Eddie Hearn.

“It really came down to two very similar offers from Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren. But after some hard thinking I felt that the overall package that Frank Warren and BT Sport were offering me was the deciding factor.

“They are going to have me as one of the faces of boxing on BT which is a real honour for me and that was never going to happen with Sky who obviously have Anthony Joshua as their main main.”

Frampton says penning the deal which he agreed alongside his new advisors MTK after parting company with Cyclone Promotions, is a “weight off his shoulders” and he can now focus on his homecoming Belfast fight which was called off in July.

The North Belfast boxer also revealed that the rescheduled homecoming fight will take place in the next few months with details to be announced later this week.

He said: “I’m desperate to kick on and have a fight before Christmas and I can confirm that I will be fighting in Belfast.

My homecoming ended up being a mess in July when Andres Guttierrez fell in the shower after I hadn’t made the 9st featherweight limit but now I suppose it’s the homecoming 2.0 and I’ll have more details about the deal later this week at a press conference.”

Tyrone Mings reveals what Jose Mourinho said to him straight after Zlatan Ibrahimovic stamping incident

Tyrone Mings has revealed for the first time exactly what Jose Mourinho whispered in his ear following his infamous ‘stamp’ on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Back in March, Bournemouth defender Mings became headline news, when he trod on the Manchester United striker’s head during a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

The stamp saw Mings banned for five-matches, while Ibrahimovic received a three-match suspension of his own for the elbow he threw in retaliation.

Mourinho was furious at the time, and was caught on camera confronting Mings in the Old Trafford tunnel.

“I didn’t recognise up until half-time that it was even a big deal,” Mings says. “Because I hadn’t meant to do it, I didn’t feel like it would be a talking point.

“But I realised when [Jose] Mourinho came over when we were coming out for the start of the second half and started giving me some abuse, saying: ‘You think you’re clever. You’re going to get an eight-match ban.’

“I just brushed it off, but then the referee said something to me as the second half started, saying: ‘It will probably get reviewed.’

“I said: ‘What will get reviewed?’ He said: ‘The stamp on his head.’ I was thinking: ‘I don’t need you to tell me that just as we’re about to start the second half.’

“And then when I got into the dressing room after the game, someone checked their phone and told me just how big the coverage of the incident was.”

Cracksman to sidestep Arc bid as Enable shortens for Europe's premier middle-distance prize

Cracksman will not run in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Chantilly next Sunday, owner Anthony Oppenheimer told Press Association Sport.

Connections have repeatedly insisted that a return to France for Europe’s premier middle-distance prize was unlikely and with the race now just a week away, he has been confirmed a non-runner.

Oppenheimer said: “I think it had a lot to do with Chantilly itself. A lot depends on the size of the field.

“If it was at Longchamp, where the track is wider and the bends are not as tight, it may have been an easier decision.”

The John Gosden-trained son of Frankel dominated his rivals in last month’s Great Voltigeur at York and was just as impressive in the Prix Niel over the Arc course and distance a fortnight ago.

Cracksman still has the option of running again as a three-year-old in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot on October 21, but is far from certain to line up.

Oppenheimer said: “The horse is well, which is the main thing.

“He is in the Champion Stakes, which personally I would say is equally unlikely as the Arc, but that is still four weeks away.

“I haven’t been down to Newmarket for a little while, but if the horse was bouncing out of his skin and let us say the ground came up heavy to soft and it blunted the speed of some of those mile-and-a-quarter horses, there could be some merit in it.

“He is a fresh horse, but I would say the Champion Stakes is a backstop as we’ve always said we wanted to run him in a four-year-old and we want him to be fresh for that.”

Kylie Jenner swerves alcohol on Snapchat as family 'worry she is too young and naive to have a baby'

Rumours about Kylie Jenner expecting her first child by boyfriend Travis Scott are intensifying as the 20-year-old was seen swerving alcohol in a Snapchat picture last night.

The reality TV princess is said to be four months pregnant , according to reports from multiple media outlets.

And in a clip from Keeping Up With the Kardashians in 2015, Kylie revealed she wanted two kids before 25.

But now a family member has said that Kylie’s folks feel rather uneasy about the star becoming a mum.

Kylie was seen avoiding a drink of wine in a Snapchat picture shared last night

“Kylie is very naive,” the insider said, adding that the fashion mogul “is too young to have a baby.”

Having spent lots of time with her nieces and nephews, and her ex boyfriend Tyga’s four-year-old son King Cairo, the star claimed she was ready.

Kylie Jenner and Trais Scott have been dating since April

But, the source told People : “Spending time with other people’s kids is obviously completely different than being a mom 24/7. Kylie of course has no idea about all the hard work and sleepless nights.”

Meanwhile, Travis seemed to be in very high spirits as he performed a gig on Friday night, hours after the pregnancy rumours broke out.

It seems that the 25-year-old was on very good form as he took to the stage in Miami, to perform at Liv Fontainebleau – in what his first sighting since the news went global.

News first broke of Kylie’s unexpected news on TMZ , with the website reporting Travis was telling friends his life was about to change. A further source told People magazine that Kylie was overjoyed about her pregnancy.

The report was given further credence when an insider told People : “It is an unexpected but completely amazing turn of events that she could not be more excited or thrilled about.”

Rio Ferdinand's wife gave blessing for him to date Kate Wright: 'I don't want him to be alone and lonely'

Rio Ferdinand has revealed that his wife Rebecca gave her blessing for him to date Kate Wright from beyond the grave.

His wife of six years died in 2015 aged 34, after her breast cancer returned.

And the ex-England defender has revealed that while he started having feelings for Kate, his wife’s close friend Lisa encouraged the new relationship.

She told him that Rebecca did not want him to be “alone and miserable”.

Rio and Rebecca were a very close couple

Kate Wright has quit TOWIE to concentrate on Rio

Ex TOWIE star Kate has been quietly dating the former England defender since January and has grown close to his family over the last nine months.

“Rebecca told Lisa something in the final weeks of her life,” Rio told The Sun.

“Months later Lisa told me what it was… ‘It kills me to think of Rio with a new partner, Lisa, you know it does. Of course it does.

“‘But you know what kills me even more? Thinking of him alone and lonely.

“‘If I don’t make it, Lisa, I don’t want Rio to be miserable. I want him to be happy.'”

In his new autobiography, Rio also opens up about his feelings for TOWIE babe Kate.

“To my total surprise, I met someone and at first I wasn’t sure I should let free my feelings,” he said.

“In an emotionally vulnerable state, one’s judgement can be all over the place.

“I wanted to get to know this beautiful young woman better and, as I have done on occasions, turned to Lisa for advice.

“Of all the things Lisa has done for me, this may have been the hardest. Rebecca had been her best friend.

“It’s a measure of Lisa’s love that she put aside her feelings, offered friendship to this stranger and gave the relationship her whole-hearted encouragement. I will be forever in her debt.”

Meanwhile, Rio also told of the tragic moment he broke the news to his kids their mum Rebecca was dying saying: “She’s going to go up into the stars”.

Days earlier the former England captain had to tell their kids Lorenz, ten, Tate, eight, and Tia, six, that time was running out.

The ex Manchester United ace, 38, told The Sun: “I gazed at my beautiful children, lost for words, searching for a way to begin. “I’m afraid I’ve got to tell you something very, very sad.

“Mum’s not going to be able to get out of here. She’s got cancer again and this time she isn’t going to get better’. They stared at me, wide-eyed and dumbstruck.

“They’ve been trying to help her, the doctors but they can’t any more. She’s been strong, and she’s tried to get better, but I’m so sorry. She’s going to be a star – she’s going to go up into the stars as a spirit, and she’ll always be there in the sky looking down on us and…

“I couldn’t go on. Tears were streaming down the childrens’ faces, they were sobbing, crying out. ‘Why? Why? Why?’ Tate kept wailing over and over. ‘What are you talking about?’

“I tried to explain again but we were beyond words by then. engulfed in a firestorm of pain. Even now the memory of that scene is enough to plunge me into a darkness I never want to see again.

The star said tears streamed down his children’s faces as he told them

“As the children broke down and sobbed, I held them tight, staring out of the window. All I could think was ‘F ****** hell, can someone please help me’.”

Rio suffered a second tragedy this Summer when his mum Janice also died of cancer.

The footballer reveals the pain in his autobiography, Thinking Out Loud.

He tells how he led Rebecca in his arms as she died and and slept next to her on her final night.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013. A double mastectomy and chemotherapy seemed to have worked but the cancer returned in 2015 and she quickly declined. She died after an eight week battle on May 1.

She only came home one more time, for her daughter Tia’s fourth birthday. Even then she kept her illness hidden as best she could.

Rio said: “By then her liver was failing and her limbs were swelling. Her body was covered with bruises and was suffering explosive nosebleeds.

“When the time came for the cake, Rebecca lifted Tia so she could blow out her candles.

“I think that she had held onto life so that she could see Tia turn four. It was the last time her children saw her fully conscious and alert.”

Later Rio took the kids to the hospital room were Rebecca was sleeping.

He recalls: “She lay on her back, pale and unconscious, swaddled in a sinister tangle of tubes and wires and connected to a bank of machinery that beeped and flashed, cold and sterile.

“I wanted to rip the wires away to let the children get close enough for one last hug with her all together. Instead, one by one they took their place at her bedside and kissed their mum goodbye.”

British brothel owner says that Ireland's sex laws are 'backward' and 'could lead to rape'

A notorious brothel owner has confessed that thousands of Irishmen flocked to her club to pay for sex.

Vivien Ella Walden, 68, has worked in the clandestine sex industry for decades and blasted our government for making it illegal to purchase sex here saying, “it’s a step backwards,” and could lead to, “rape.”

The sex worker started her career as a burlesque dancer becoming a “hostess” in 1969 in a Soho London strip club, plying customers with champagne which more often than not resulted in a paid sexual encounter.

Vivien from Wilmslow, Cheshire met her West Ham footballer husband-to-be William Waldon whilst working in the club when she was 22. When William died from cancer in 1987 Vivien took over his massage parlours in Manchester eventually turning the empire into the popular Toucan Club which she successfully ran for 14 years until it closed in 2002 after the police raided it.

Following the closure of her business she needed cash and penned her memoirs, Eating from the Cherry Tree, an insight into the world of a madame and prostitution.

Vivien Ella Walden’s book

As an avid campaigner to legalise brothels in the UK the madam says the Irish law criminalising those who pay for sex is “draconian” and will only make matters worse.

She told the Sunday Mirror: “This draconian Irish law is not a good situation and could lead to more trafficking.

“It’s going to make things absolutely worse, these people who passed this law don’t see the picture at all, it’s sad.

“People in high places have tried to legalise brothels in Britain but they don’t know where to begin with it and the same should apply in Ireland.”

Vivien insists she is not in favour of all forms of prostitution being legalised, just in the establishments which are properly run. She added: “The places which take care of their clients and their girls should be allowed to run a brothel like in Amsterdam in delegated areas, so everything would be legal and taxes all paid.”

The madam who appeared on ITV’s This Morning this week to highlight the need to legalise certain areas of prostitution told how Irish men would escape to Manchester to avail of her services.

She added: “We had thousands of Irish clients, travelling on business away from their family or women at home.

“When I ran my business not only did guys come in for sexual favours it was also a club, they’d sit around the bar and listen to the music.

“The Irish heard about me and my business because it was so well known, certainly I was one of the best madams to visit in the country.”

Vivien Ella Walden – Britain’s Most notorious madam

Giving insight into her clientele over the years, she said: “The guy that’s a virgin who’s about to go into a relationship who’d like a bit of experience, disabled people would come in or with their wives because they couldn’t cope with the situation themselves.”

The veteran hostess turned author insists the Irish sex act will result just make matters worse for prostitutes and says instead the industry should be cleaned up.

“The Irish government are going backward in time, it’s a step back.

“It’s an unbelievable law, it’s not going to stop anything, a guy wakes up with those needs or craving he’s going to seek it out and this law is going to make things worse.

“The guys could end up picking on an innocent girl or woman on the street who’s not there to do business and using them for his own use or worse still it could lead to rape.

Vivien Ella Walden – Britain’s Most notorious madam

“I mean look at all the sexual exploitation that’s going on at the moment, innocent girls that are being led into the industry it’s like a slavery issue now, this is going on and the whole thing has got to be cleaned up.

“That law in Ireland will do no good whatsoever, I guess it would appeal to a lot of feminist women, but they don’t really see the wood from the trees of what’s going on.

“Men are like animals they seek to get satisfaction from satisfying their body, they’re natural hunters this law isn’t going to change anything, this desire in men is born in them.

“If they need some form of release why not be able to pay for it, so it’s done correctly in the right situation.

Vivien Ella Walden – Britain’s Most notorious madam

Meanwhile, Viviene insists that her career path did not effect her psychologically.

“It had no impact on me, at the end of the day every woman is in the same sort of situation in one way or another, everyone pays a price at one point or another.

“You’re doing a service, if the guys are there because they need it because they’re not getting it at home, rather than upset the home, they come and pay for it, so they can get all their angst out of their body.”

Manchester United fans furious about Klopp and Conte 'double standards' after Jose Mourinho sent off vs Southampton

Jose Mourinho didn’t get the chance to watch the final few seconds of Manchester United ‘s victory over Southampton from his dugout, reports the Manchester Evening News.

The manager was sent off by referee Craig Pawson in stoppage time for seemingly encroaching on to the pitch when he was trying to give his players encouragement.

United held on for the 1-0 victory courtesy of Romelu Lukaku ‘s goal, but it was a defensive effort in the second period.

And Mourinho was issuing instructions when he was deemed to have strayed from his technical area, it appears, and sent to the stands.

Mourinho took his dismissal pretty well

Supporters were not happy at the action, which was deemed “pointless” in the final minutes.

The main reason for their fury? The difference between Mourinho’s treatment at the hands of referees… and the treament Premier League rivals Jurgen Klopp, Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola receive.

As far as United fans are concerned, these other bosses are often applauded for their touchline behaviour – while Mourinho is vilified for the exact same thing:

So, do they have a point?

Would other bosses have been sent off for the same thing?

"Disgraceful!" Hughie Fury's team rant about 'political influence' after defeat to Joseph Parker

Hughie Fury’s outraged team did not hold back after they saw their man lose out to Joseph Parker on points.

Fury lost for the first time in 21 professional fights, as he was defeated by the New Zealander in their world title bout.

One card had it 114-114, while the other two judges scored the fight 118-110 to Parker, which appeared harsh on the challenger.

The 23 year-old was bemused by the scoring, saying: “I don’t think Parker won the fight. The scoring was way off. I thought I was landing. The judges have scored it and I don’t know what happened.”

Tyson Fury ranted at the judges

However, it was Fury’s team who really expressed their anger over the decision.

Peter Fury, Hughie’s father and trainer, believes ‘political influence’ affected the verdict.

“My son is sitting there and should have been crowned world champion today, all because of political influence, over here in our own country,” Fury said.

“This is letdown. When you’ve out that amount of work in, if you’re going to win and take someone’s record, win properly.

“Don’t rob young people of their boxing, whatever political pressure was going on. I don’t know what they were watching.”

“I had Hughie as a unanimous winner.”

“You can always tell a fighter’s body language at the end.

“Parker knew he’d lost that fight. He put his head on the floor. He knew he’d lost it.”

Fury’s promoter Mick Hennessy was equally outraged by the scoring.

“I thought that was disgraceful,” said Hennessy. “I thought it was a masterclass from Fury.

“You do not see masterclasses by 23-year-olds like that.

“The footwork, gliding around that ring, touching him – it was shades of Ali the way he was moving.

“Why can’t that be appreciated?”

Fury simply did not land enough shots as he tried to copy Tyson’s tactics against Wladimir Klitschko by hitting on the outside.

Instead, Parker took the fight to Fury in every round and landed the cleaner shots as he stretched his unbeaten record to 24-0.

Fury’s tactics were to use his superior reach to hit and run. Parker had vowed to hunt Fury down and caught him early in the first round before the challenger recovered to land a couple of jabs.

That set the tone for the fight as Parker dominated the centre of the ring and Fury tried to pick him off as he came forward.

Fury landed a right hand in the fourth before he suffered a nasty cut over his right eye from what looked like an accidental clash of heads.

Fury’s rugged training camp in the Lake District was like the setting for Rambo – but first blood went to the Kiwi.

Fury landed a big right at the start of the sixth, but Parker didn’t flinch a muscle. Fury also connected with a right uppercut and that round was his.

Still Parker came after Fury, who scuttled around by the ropes, and pinned him in a corner with a left-right combination.

It was far from being a classic as Fury was content to remain at range and attempt to pick Parker off. Fury caught Parker at the start of the ninth, but it just provoked the champ to unload on him and briefly the challenger looked stunned.

Fury hit back before Parker charged him and, for a few furious seconds, we had a contest worthy of a world title.

It didn’t last, though, and too many of Fury’s jabs were falling short.

Parker finished strongly and hurt Fury at the start of the 12th round with a clean shot right on the button.

Fury’s corner celebrated like they had won at the final bell and the challenger was embraced by in the ring by an overweight Tyson.

But the judges scored the fight in Parker’s favour to put him in the mix for a unification clash with WBA and IBF champ Anthony Joshua.
